And 7:00 pm Regular Board Meeting

Business Meeting: Discussed monthly expenditures.

Regular Board Meeting called to order by Chairman Dan Banaszak at 7:00 pm, present were Chairman Banaszak, Supervisor Tarmann, Supervisor Mueller, Clerk/Treasurer Chaikowski and 11 members of the public. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Mueller to approve the agenda, 2nd by Tarmann, carried. Motion by Mueller to approve the minutes of June 7, 2016, Regular Board Meeting , June 9 & 28, 2016, Special Meeting , 2nd by Tarmann, carried. Clerk/Treasurer Chaikowski reported the checking account had a balance of $274,670.86. Checks issued were #20695--20727 for $19,333.62, electronic debit of $2,197.10. Deposits of $44,725.92. Tarmann made motion to approve the financial report, 2nd by Mueller, carried.

Public comment: Pete Pfankuch asked about golf cart usage on town roads, there are no ordinances allowing their use, only ATVs & UTVs, may have to prohibit them. He also wanted to know if parking was allowed on Pine Lane for access to the county park. Also asked about campers on private lots, town board is working on a new ordinance about campers & mobile home parks. Ken Marcusen pointed out that the cable across the old dump driveway on Birchwood needs a permanent stake or something in the middle. Kathy Just talked about the coming vote by county about the pool.  

Motion by Mueller to hire UP Engineering to oversee the Public Works building project, 2nd by Tarmann, carried. Prevailing wage will not be effected by signing this contract now, as long as no contracts or bids are advertised or issued until January 1, 2017. Retainer fee will be $4,900.

Motion by Tarmann to approve the hiring of Levi Sanborn as an occasional employee for Public Works Department, 2nd by Mueller, carried. Hourly wage for the first 90 days will be $12.00.

Motion by Tarmann to approve operator’s licenses for Shirley Smith (at large) and Christina Jaecks (Timberline), 2nd by Mueller, carried.

Motion by Tarmann to approve Alice Cayemberg, Janice Dal Santo, Cheryl Winsenreid, Diane Carpenter, Jim Carpenter as additional election workers, 2nd by Mueller, carried.

Fire Dept now has pagers programmed to go right to members cell phones.

Discussed using summary signs for fire numbers on the end of private roads. Clerk was directed to refund $60.00 fire number fee to Kurt Langer because he paid for 2 numbers, as he is on a private road.                                                    Meeting adjourned at 8:21 PM.
