And 7:00 pm Regular Board Meeting

Business Meeting: Discussed monthly expenditures.

Regular Board Meeting called to order by Chairman Dan Banaszak at 7:00 pm, present were Chairman Banaszak, Supervisor Tarmann, Supervisor Mueller, Clerk/Treasurer Chaikowski and 3 members of the public. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Mueller to approve the agenda , 2nd by Tarmann, carried. Motion by Mueller to approve the minutes of November 4, 2016, Regular Board Meeting, November 3 Special Budget Hearing & Town Elector Meeting, & November 3, 14, 28, 2016, Special Meetings. 2nd by Tarmann, carried. Clerk/Treasurer Chaikowski reported the checking account had a balance of $215,660.92. Checks issued were #20956-21033 for $39,441.93, checks 20974 & 20975 were voided, electronic debit of $2,227.47. Mueller made motion to approve the financial report, 2nd by Tarmann, carried.

Public comment: Road construction standards were discussed by Ken Marcusen. Subdivision standards are more strict than what the town is using now.    

Clerk discussed timeline for candidates for Town offices for the April election.

Discussed Mobile Home ordinance, will vote on the Ordinance at January 3, 2017 Meeting. Meeting with UP Engineering about the Public Works Building Dec 13, 6:30 PM. January 9, 2017 Meeting on Road projects bids.

Fire Dept complained about Public Works items being stored in the Fire Dept, also usage of the Fire Dept. generator by Public Works, Chief was worried about replacement if unit was damaged or worn out. Personal usage was also discussed, board thought that personal use of fire dept tools should not be allowed.

Sand/ salt is being stored at Town of Stephenson in Crivitz. Storage is in exchange for use of our sign truck and Hot Box. Questioned if we should survey the Ferndale project to find road right of way.

Clerk reported that Travelers Insurance that carried our Workers Comp would no longer operate in Wisconsin, so our new carrier will be Employers Mutual. Farmers & Merchants Bank sent a letter saying that an 18 month CD would no longer be available, so we would have to do something different when our CD is mature. Health Insurance rates for Public Works was discussed.
