7:00 p.m. Special Town Board Meeting
- Call to order.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with Banaszak, Sotka, Mueller & Tarmann present.
- Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Review and Approval of Municipal Judge Salary.
The Municipal Court Committee met and determined that the municipal judge’s salary should be evenly paid by the members as of October 1st, 2017 to April 30, 2018 the payment would be $100 for town of Stephenson and town of Wausaukee, Town of Lake, Middle inlet and Silver Cliff will pay 1/3 of a $100. Effective May 1st, 2018 the monthly salary will be fixed at $300 per month shared equally by all the municipalities ($60 per month). The municipalities will still share the educational costs for the Municipal Judge per year.
Motion to approve the Municipal Judge at $33.33 from November, 2017 through March, 2018 and then be shared equally by all the members after April, 2018 by Banaszak, seconded by Sotka and carried 2 yes and 1 no with Mueller voting no.
- Review of Workers Compensation Insurance
Jim Picket would like to quote a rate from the underwriter sometime in December, 2017 for a plan based upon the wages of $91,000 in salaries for the 2018 plan year. He will bring the quote to the Board after he receives the information from the underwriters.
- Short Term Disability Insurance. The item was tabled at this time.
- Review of Health and Dental Insurance:
Chairperson Banaszak brought forward a cost for the health and dental insurance for the public works employee. Questions were raised on clarification of the actual costs. The item was tabled until Banaszak could get more clarification on the policies and the cost for a single plan.
- Correspondence. No correspondence was presented.
