Pledge of Allegiance
- Call to order.
The meeting was called to order at 7:04p.m. Present was Banaszak, Mueller, Sotka and Tarmann and members of the public.
- Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda was made by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.
- Approval of meeting minutes from January 8, 2019 Regular Town Board Meeting
A motion to approve the minutes for January 8, 2019 Regular Town Board meeting was made by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.
- Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
A motion to approve the vouchers #22410-22448 for $1,054,919.25, $3549.68, EFT transfers, and deposits of $1,058,331.75 by Sotka seconded by Mueller and carried.
- Debt Payment Board of Commissioners
A motion to approve the one fifth payment for the service truck for $12,007.89 along with the debt payment of $69,492.09 for the public works building and plow truck due March 15, 2019 was made by Banaszak, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Refund of Personal Property Tax 2017 & 2018
A motion to refund the personal property tax for Lawrence Kuehl for the years 2017 and 2018 which was a mistake for $288.75 for the personal property tax duplicate tax bill. Motion by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.
- Planning Commission Report Nothing to report.
- Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)Nothing to report.
- Fire Dept Report
A request was made to approve Cory Stocker as a volunteer fire person. A motion was made by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.
- Public Works Road Report
Banaszak reported on the plowing, sanding, and maintenance as Rick Olive was not present for the meeting. We are at half the salt/sand for the year and will be using more with the evening storm.
- 2000 Public Works truck advertisement
Banaszak presented information for an advertisement for the 2000 Public Works vehicle with a minimum bid of $5,725 and put it in the paper for 3 weeks so that we can approve the bids for the March 5, 2019 meeting
- Part-time employee raises
A motion to approve an increase of $.50 an hour for the part-time employees effective for Feb 1, 2019 was made by Sotka seconded by Mueller and carried. An update to the employee handbook will need to be brought to the March 5th, 2019 board meeting.
- Broad Band Grant Application
Sup. Mueller said he got an email from Rep Mursau on the grant application process.
- Public Comment
There is a meeting that board members can attend, let us know if you want to sign up.
Banaszak brought information on the WTA to support the advocacy group for the towns based upon the town’s population of $288.75 for the year, not to be confused with the annual dues that renew in July.
A request from Dave Bedora, Town of Beaver, for the towns to cover costs of meetings supplies for coffee, doughnuts and copies.
Penny Chaikowski had informed the Town that the County approved the money to the Lake Noquebay Rehab to pay for a person to operate the dam on Lake Noquebay.
