Pledge of Allegiance

  1. Call to order.

     The meeting was called to order at 7:00p.m. by Banaszak. Present was Banaszak, Mueller, Sotka, Tarmann, Chaikowski and members of the public.

  1. Approval of agenda.

    A motion was made to approve the agenda by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.

  1. Approval of meeting minutes from February 5, 2019 Regular Town Board Meeting

A motion to approve the February 5, 2019 Regular Town Board Meeting minutes by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.

  1. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers

A motion to approve the financial report with vouchers # 22452-22514 for $1,206,600.46, EFT for $2,652.93 and deposit for $1,273,319.27 by Banaszak, seconded by Sotka and carried.

  1. Debt Payment Board of Commissioners

Check #22506 for $81,499.98 for debt payment for March 15, 2019 as a record of payment for the Town of Lake.

  1. Planning Commission Report  

Sotka said there was nothing to report for the Planning Commission.

  1. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)

A motion to approve an operator License for Leandra Klaver for Loopy’s in Loomis by Sotka, seconded Banaszak and carried.

  1. Fire  Dept Report

Fire Chief Caylor requested by the Town of Lake allow the Fire Dept belong to Losa startup for fire dept (length of service award) 10 yrs 50% vested, 10% for every after that to be fully vested after 15 years. There would be criteria referring to the establishment of LOSA Motion by Banaszak, seconded by Sotka and carried. Caylor stated that the fire trucks #720 will need additional repairs including new lighting. Discussion was brought to the fire department concerning a fire district which will be brought to the fire department members at their meeting. Fire Chief Caylor would like to add a sink in the fire department and will check into the costs. The Town Board is invited to the fire department fire dept appreciation dinner on March 15, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. A meeting notice will be posted for the Town Board members who might want to attend.

  1. Public Works Road Report

Rick Olive gave a report on the maintenance of vehicles, snow plowing and salting the storms for the month of February. The stainless steel box will be coming in late April, 2019 from Monroe for truck #202.

  1. Road Limits Beech Road and Riverview Road

Banaszak will be getting an agreement to have permanent road limits on Beech Road and Riverview Road to divert truck traffic from the pit on

  1. Accept Bids 2000 Truck There no bids to report for this board meeting. It will      moved to the Food Pantry lot by the Hwy 141with a for sale sign.
  1. Ordinance Update

An updated ordinance for sex offender placement was forwarded to the Board by Attorney Harvey from Community Code. It was suggested by Mueller and Banaszak to also have Attorney Coggins review the ordinance. A motion by Sotka seconded by Banaszak to have Attorney Coggins review the ordinance and carried.

  1. Broad Band Grant Application update. Mueller will be reviewing the process to try to bring high speed internet access to the businesses currently on Loomis Road.
  2. Change date for Regular Town Board Meeting to April 9, 2019.

A motion to change the date for the Regular Town Board Meeting to April 9, 2019 by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.

  1. Public Comment

Tony Moriva reported that a two car accident on Sumac Lane. A request to replace the dead end sign was made to Town Board in the spring. Also, there were 2 trucks in the ditch.

Penny Chaikowski reported on the County Tourism director is shared between the County and the City of Marinette, and has produced a pamphlet describing the townships of Marinette County.
