The landfill costs run $16,000 and recycling fees is $5,810, the total of all three services is approximately $66,810 per year.
- Recycling contract with Town of Stephenson
Currently the Town of Lake is paying on a monthly basis for our recycling services. The Town of Stephenson and the Town of Lake are the only ones in a contractual agreement. It was brought to the Town Boards’ attention that another township/village would like to join on a contractual basis for recycling which would possibly lower the recycling costs per month.
- Public Comment
A comment was made on the possibility of having our own garbage collection sight. The cost of $1/bag for garbage and then a separate bag for recyclables. It would also have to have a person that was in charge of the facility on posted days.
