And Safety Meeting

The Safety meeting included Topic C816: Heat Illness Prevention.

7:00 p.m. Regular Town Board Meeting Agenda

Pledge of Allegiance

  1. Call to order.

     The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Present was Travis Mueller, Dan Banaszak, Linda Tarmann and members of the public. Absent was Cory     Sotka.

  1. Approval of agenda.

     A motion to approve the agenda was made by Travis Mueller, seconded by Dan Banaszak and carried.

  1. Approval of meeting minutes from May 7, 2019 Regular Town Board Meeting, May 21, 2019 Adjourn Board of Review to a later date and June 1, 2019 Special Town Board Meeting

     A motion to approve the minutes for May 7, 2019 Regular Town Board meeting, May 21, 2019 Adjourn to a later date Board of Review and June 1, 2019 Special Town Board Meeting by Travis Mueller, seconded by Dan Banaszak and carried.

  1. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers

     A motion to approve the Treasurer’s financial report with vouches #22638-22665 for $35101.36 and deposits from May and June, 2019 $ 1, 832.39 by Travis Mueller, seconded by Dan Banaszak and carried.

  1. Opening of 2019 Road Work Bids

     Road bids received for Chip Sealing for 2019 was from Scott Construction for $ 168,300 as per bid specifications, and Fahrner Construction for $ 146,823.04 as an alternative bid not including Hilldale Rd and South Lane.

     Road Bids received for road construction for 2019 was from Richlen Excavating for $64,317 as per bid specifications.

  1. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)

     The attached list for Liquor licenses were for Morgan Zeutzius for Backwater Bar & Grill, Lori Zorn for Beechwood Golf Course, Joseph Zirbel for Diamond Lake Campground, Ted Klaver for Loopys’ in Loomis and Jesse Milquet for Timberline Bar & Grill, Inc. and a list of attached Operator licenses.

     A motion was made to approve the liquor licenses and operator’s licenses as stated in the meeting by Dan Banaszak, seconded by Travis Mueller and carried. (List is attached)

  1. Planning Commission Report

     A certified survey map for Tina Welty was presented to the Town by Ken Marcussen for approval.

  1. Fire Department USDA Grant application process

      Speaking with a representative from the USDA, the fire department would be able to apply for a grant for January, 2010. A possible percentage may be granted to offset the costs for a new tanker truck. The timeframe to start the grant process is November 1, 2019.

  1. Fire Dept Report

     Fire Chief Craig Caylor stated the fire department dry hydrants for improvements. They will approach the individual landowners that private land.

  1. Public Works Report

     Richard Olive gave the public works report the Town Board for the month of May, 2019. It included maintenance, road patching, grading and any other road maintenance. The Town also installed several no trespassing signs by the town pit to deter ATV traffic.

  1. Set Special Meeting date to award 2019 Road Work bids

    A Special Town Board meeting to award the 2019 Chip Sealing and 2019 road construction bids on Thursday June 6, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.

  1. JNS Garbage Contract Residential

    A motion to approve the JNS Residential Garbage contract for (3) years beginning July 1, 2019-20 for $3,820 and increase of $110 for each of the second and third year by Travis Mueller, seconded by Dan Banaszak and carried.

  1. Recycle Contract Town of Stephenson – information only
  2. Public Comment

    A request was presented to the Town Board for approval the owner to move the Wick home to another property. The Building Inspector Jane Meissner has given a building permit, and the existing trailer will be moved out of the Township. All permits have put in place.
