6:30 p.m. Finance Town Board Meeting to review financial reports
And Safety Meeting
There was no quorum for the Finance meeting.
6:45 p.m. Planning Commission Meeting to review certified surveys
The Planning Commission met at 6:45 p.m. with Cory Sotka, Ken Marcussen, Dan Banaszak and Jeff Lieuwen present. The certified survey map for Peter Culp was reviewed with discussion of the road to be made appropriate for rescue and fire access for the trucks and ambulance.
7:00 p.m. Regular Town Board Meeting Agenda
Pledge of Allegiance
- Call to order. The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. Present was Banaszak, Mueller, Sotka, Tarmann and members of the public.
- Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda was made by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Approval of meeting minutes from June 4, 2019 Regular Town Board Meeting, June 6, 2019 Special Town Board Meeting
A motion to approve the minutes from June 4, 2019 Regular Town Board Meeting and June 6, 2019 Special Town Board Meeting by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
A motion to approve the Financial Report with vouchers #22666-22706 for $20,848.72, EFT for $618.06 and deposits for $55107.87 by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Review of Safety Meeting.
The Fire Dept reviewed the Safety Sheet # with the fire dept volunteers. Nothing to review for the safety meeting for the Public Works department.
- Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)
There were no liquor licenses or operator licenses to present.
- Planning Commission Report
A certified survey map was reviewed by the Planning Commission members. An easement off of Noquebay Road to property for Peter Culp, the parcel which he owns and the stipulation of 20foot gravel road to the access to Noquebay Road.
- Review & approval of Land Surveys-Peter Culp
A motion was made by Mueller the Town Board will grant approval for the certified survey map of Kamp’s office map #18-5453 with the stipulation and condition of inspection of the road by the Town Chairman and the naming of the road and signage for fire lane no parking signs to be installed, with approval of final inspection, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Fire Dept Report
Fire Chief Caylor was not present. There was one fire call the month of June. A donation from the Crivitz Women’s club was given to the Fire Dept in the amount of $1,000. He also gave the Chairman the list of business inspected. The following businesses were inspected: Diamond Lake, Beechwood Golf Course, Loopy’s in Loomis, Timberline Resort and Backwater Bar and Grill. The only business that didn’t meet approval was Backwater Bar and Grill with a number of citations. The citations will have to be compliant by July 15, 2019 after the inspection of the Fire Chief. If the citations are not corrected the Liquor License will be removed as of July 15, 2019.
- Approve Fireworks permit for July 6, 2019
Joseph Zirbel requested a Fireworks permit for July 6, 2019. Fire Chief Caylor inspected the sight and stated that there were not any issues with the location. A motion to approve the Fireworks Permit was made by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.
- Approve contract for Country Vision LP for hall and public works and prepayment
A motion to approve a contract for LP fuel for the 2019-20 seasons at $1.119 per gallon for three thousand gallons was made by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Public Works Report
Rick Olive gave a P.W report including road maintenance, grass cutting, install signs, mowing, culvert installation and grading and road repair.
- Consider paving additional road (Hilldale Road)
Chairman Banaszak requested the Town Board to consider paving Hilldale Road for 1,200 feet for the amount of $22,500 to Scott Construction. A motion was made by Sotka, seconded by Banaszak and carried.
- Request to extend ATV road use on County Hwy W
Sotka requested that from Cty P to Gravelly Brook on Cty W be submitted to Marinette County for approval for the use of ATV travel. An application will be completed and submitted by the Chairman.
- Chairman cell phone reimbursement
Dan Banaszak requested the Town Board to approve a payment of $35.00 per month for using his personal for Town business. A motion was make by Sotka to approve a payment of $35/month to the Chairman, seconded by Mueller and carried.
- Recreational trailers on private parcels
Banaszak brought to the Board’s attention the number of recreational vehicles to be allowed per acre on private property. The maximum number is three recreational trailers on any parcel of at least 3 acres. The chairman will contact the attorney concerning the Mohawk property with recreational issues.
- Application and advertisement Public Works position
The notice will be published in the July 9, Peshtigo Times for applications for the Public Works employee position for 4 weeks with a deadline of August 5, 2019. The Town Board will review applications at 6:00 p.m. on August 6, 2019 as a closed session.
- Public Comment
There was no public comment.
- Correspondence– Next Regular Town Board meeting date Tuesday August 6, 2019. Banaszak brought information to the Town Board that the property on W4802 Mudbrook will be cleaned up at the expense of the County.
