Pledge of Allegiance
- Call to order.
The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by Chairman Banaszak. Present was Banaszak, Mueller, Tarmann and members of the public. Absent was Sotka.
- Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda was made by Mueller, seconded by Banaszak and carried.
- Approval of meeting minutes from January 14, 2020 Regular Town Board Meeting
A motion to approve the minutes from January 14, 2020 Regular Town Board Meeting by Mueller, seconded by Banaszak and carried.
- Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
A motion to approve the Treasurer’s financial with vouchers #23080-23131 for $834048.08, deposits for $870,439.66 to F&M Bank, deposits for $900,000.00 to LGIP and electronic fund transfers for $3,664.78 was made by Mueller, seconded by Banaszak and carried.
- Approval of auditor proposal for 3-year contract
A motion was made by Mueller to approve a three-year Audit Contract with Kerber & Rose, LLC for the year 2019-$5,200, 2020-$5,300 & 2021-$5,400, seconded by Banaszak and carried.
- Safety meeting discussion
Gas, Welding and Cutting was reviewed by the Fire Dept and the public works will review the safety sheet.
- Planning Commission Report
The Committee met at 6:45pm reviewing the certified survey map by Kamp’s Surveying. There were not any questions on the survey and it is recommended to approve the survey.
- Review & approval of Land Surveys
A motion to approve the Certified Survey map for the owners, Dale and Carol Watson and John and Jeanette Hensley which includes a division between the Town of Lake and Town of Porterfield.
- Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)
Nothing to approve
- Fire Dept Report
Fire Chief Caylor researched two tanker trucks year 2000 for $60,000 each and they will be investigating on whether they are top filled tankers and what the type of motors. They are not for sale yet but will be available before the end of 2020. There was a discussion about the costs for the air handling that was paid for by the Town. The Fire Dept has been paying upgrades to the emergency lighting on the fire trucks.
- Update lighting and insulation for Town Hall Building
Supervisor Mueller worked on a quote to address updating the lighting to LED lamps in the fire department and 9 fixtures in the hall area. We will be getting a rebate from FOCUS on Energy. The estimated cost is $4,045.00 for the recommended areas. Banaszak will notify Supervisor Sotka of the proposal.
- MTI control for air exchange in hall/occupancy
A proposal #20-8424-1 from MTI for adding an Interlock to Control Occupancy of the Thermostat Occ, Exhaust Fan, and Air Intake Damper for $1,977.
- Public Works Report
Public Works employee Jeremy Gross gave a report to the Town Board of the work done for the month of January, 2020. Including maintenance of equipment, sanding and snowplowing and any other things that needed to be done. The loader needs new tires and quote was received from Pomp’s Tire which has state pricing. The quotes for $7,000 and for $6,700 respectively from Pomp’s. An order will be made for the $6,700 which includes a rebate.
- Adv in Peshtigo Times for snow plowed into Town right of way/ditches
An article was placed in the Peshtigo Times to make residents aware of the liabilities of plowing snow from driveways into the Town’s right of ways and ditches or in the roadway. The Town asked people to be aware of the liability and help the Town with the issue.
- 4 way Stop Right of Way Rd & Pioneer Rd
Banaszak said that he would check with the County what would be the proper way to post in advance of the proposed 4 way stop.
- Centurylink / Internet update
There will be some work on internet in the Town of Lake and we were asked to sign work orders for the spring start of work.
- Dilapidated Building Committee
Miles Kresl requested that the public works department to help in locating dilapidated buildings in the township. Once we can identify and inventory the number of buildings, we will need to create a committee to help with contacting the property owners.
- Correspondence, the next Regular Board meeting will be March 3, 2020.
- Public Comment.
A thank you for the great job of snowplowing this winter season. A comment that Jeremy Gross and the part-time drivers are doing a great job of snowplowing.

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:22 p.m. by Mueller, seconded by Banaszak and carried.
