Pledge of Allegiance
- Call to order.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Banaszak Present was Banaszak, Mueller, Sotka and Tarmann. No members of the public were present.
- Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda for April 2, 2020 was made by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Approval of meeting minutes from March 3, 2020Regular Town Board Meeting
A motion to approve the minutes from March 3, 2020 Regular Town Board Meeting was made by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
A motion to approve the Treasurer’s financial report with vouchers #23202-23237 $13,372.44 with voids #23207-20208, deposits for $1,623.49, EFT’s for $2,030.36 for taxes/retirement and cash to checking of $125,000.00 by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.
- Refinance previous Long-term Debt Board of Commissioners of Public Lands
(service vehicle/plow truck/fire tankers)
A motion to move forward with refinancing options with the BCPL to include the fire tanker trucks.by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Annual Meeting April 14, 2020 7:00 p.m., Cancel and reschedule for May 12, 2020 due to Corvid 19
A motion to have the annual meeting on April 14, 2020 to call to order and then adjourned for up to 30 days to reschedule due to the Covid 19 pandemic if needed, tentatively schedule May 12, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. was made by Banaszak, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Board of Review May 12, 2020 6:00 p.m. reschedule to a later date due Covid 19
A motion to have the Board of Review for May 12, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. to call to order and then adjourn to a later date was made by Sotka, seconded by Banaszak and carried.
- Update safety measures for April 7, 2020 Election
Public works is making 2 plexiglass guards for the table for the poll books and same day registrations. We also have hand sanitizers stations, gloves and face masks. A motion to compensate the Clerk for the extra hours for the time spent on the absentee ballot preparation at $13 per hour for an additional 40 hours by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Planning Commission Report
- Review & approval of Land Surveys
None to report.
- Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)
None to report.
- Fire Dept Report
No is doing any training with the Covid 19 pandemic.
- Fire tanker trucks purchase update
Tabled until the May, 2020 meeting.
- Electric Heaters small meeting room
Nothing at this time until we find something to replace the electric panels with more efficient and safety features. Mueller will look into the replacement of the old heaters.
- Public Works Report
Banaszak reported on the 2020 road construction with a list of projects totaling $220,000.00 with several projects that could be delayed until the 2021 road construction year. Banaszak said he would get estimates for the road projects from the County and Northeast Asphalt for the 2,800 feet of roads to resurface.
- Salt Contract 2020/Wisconsin DOT 85 tons
Banaszak presented the Salt Contract for approval for the 20/21 winter road season. A motion was made to renew the Contract with DOT by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.
- Annual meeting April 14, 2020 information only
- Correspondence:
PFAS information was given to Mueller to check into for the May, 2020 meeting. Also find out about other waste water treatment dumping on farm fields. Draft ordinance to eliminate any industrial waste and sludge, and we can bring the information to the attorney for drafting.
A letter was received from a concerned citizen on cleaning property so that it is not an eyesore, or start issuing citations concerning the number of unlicensed vehicles, etc.
Dog issue on Birchwood Road has been bothering neighbors, being chased by dogs that are on the loose. A citation will be issued to the owners concerning the situation. A call will be made to the Sheriff’s department and the DNR.
May 5, 2020 will be the next Regular Board Meeting.
