  1. Call to order.

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m.

  1. Approval of agenda.

A motion to approve the agenda was made by Mueller, Seconded by Sotka and carried.

  1. Approval of meeting minutes from June 2, 2020 Regular Town Board Meeting and June 4, 2020 Special Town Board Meeting

A motion to approve the minutes from June 2, 2020 Regular Town Board Meeting and June 4, 2020 Special Town Board Meeting was made by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.

  1. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers

A motion to approve the Treasurer’s financial report including Vouchers #23361-23399 for $10,825.50, EFT for $2,027.87, and Deposits for $3756.28 for the F&M Bank was made by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.

  1. Approve Election Official

A motion to approve Leslie Liesch for the position of Election Official was made by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.

  1. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)

A motion to approve the operator’s licenses for (5) Jeslyn Johnson, Shawna Linsmeier, Amanda Wood, Jessica Wygrant and Kimberly Wygrant was made by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.

  1. Planning Commission Report  

Mr. Picha has submitted a new CSM as a request for the changes to the title of the lands the CSM. A suggestion was made by Banaszak to contact the Town’s attorney for review of the CSM and bring the information back to the Town Board at the August, 2020 regular town board meeting.

  1. Approve Certified Survey maps

None approved at the meeting.

  1. 2020 Road Work Update

Banaszak reported that culverts were replaced on Pioneer Road in preparation for chip sealing. Right of Way Road will be closed on July 9, 2020 for road repair and culvert replacement. Paving is scheduled for the second week of August, 020 and Spur Road will be chip sealed. Loomis Road will be paved and some chip sealing will be done.

  1. Fire Dept Report and Fire Works permit issued

Chief Caylor said the fire department will be creating 2 new dry hydrants. There will not be a sight at Lake Noquebay, but will continue to be use the boat landing to refill the tankers. Two fireworks permits were approved by Chief Caylor for the 4th of July.

  1. Review and approve 2020-2021 Salt Contract

Banaszak has an order to Morton Salt for 85 tons of salt for the 2020-2021 winter road salt season. A motion to approve the 2020-2021 Morton Salt Contract was made by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.

  1. Public Works Report

Banaszak reported on the Public Works department including grass cutting on the road sides, cutting trees in the ditches, patching roads with 4 loads of road patch purchased. Jeremy Gross has been doing maintenance on the equipment, hauling gravel to various roads and putting up sign replacement as needed and for liability reasons.

  1. Review and approve 2020-2021 LP contract with Country Visions

Banaszak reported on the 2020-2021 LP contract for 2020-2021 hearing season through Country Visions for $1.059. A motion was made by Mueller to approve the 2020-2021 LP contract with Country Visions for $1.059, seconded by Sotka and carried.

  1. Golf carts on town roads

It was brough to the attention that golf carts are being ridden on the Town’s road, but the Ordinance 10-2-2 doesn’t include golf carts to be ridden on Town roads. The County doesn’t allow golf carts on county roads. Further information will be brought to the Town Board at a later date concerning updating the Ordinance 10-2-2.

  1. Discuss issues with Mohawk Resort

Banaszak requested a review of the issues with the roads and safety updates including a fire access road through the parking lot of Mohawk Resort. Chief Caylor reported issues with inspections on the cabins. Chairman Banaszak said he would forward a request to the attorney to contact Mohawk Resort concerning the issues.

  1. Letter to land owner – Dilapidated Buildings

The Town Board will be sending a letter to land owners with buildings in disrepair.

  1. Public Comment

Leslie Liesch commented that Loomis Road needs a culvert to be installed near their property because water floods their land.

  1. Correspondence

An email from R& R Assessing was forwarded to the Clerk requesting that Open Book be held on Thursday July 30, 2020 at 2-4 p.m., and Board of Review be held on Monday August 17th from 6-8 p.m.
