  1. Call to order.

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman Banaszak.

  1. Approval of agenda.

A motion to approve the agenda was made by Sotka, seconded by Mueller and carried.

  1. Approval of meeting minutes from March 2, 2021 Regular Town Board Meeting

A motion to approve the minutes from March 2, 2021 Regular Town Board Meeting was made by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.

  1. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers

A motion to approve the Treasurer’s report with Vouchers #23823-23872 for $86,379.13, EFT for $2,158.65, Deposits for F&M Bank for $79,925.60 and deposits at LGIP for $71.95 was made by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried

  1. Refund of CTCL grant monies

The CTCL grant was applied for in 2020 for $5,000.00 but was not used by the Town of Lake. It has since been learned that it is politically funded. It is the recommendation that Town of Lake return the funds to the CTCL. A motion has been made to return the CTCL $5,000.00 funds by Sotka, seconded by Banaszak and carried.

  1. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)

None to approve.

  1. Planning Commission Report

Nothing to approve.

  1. Motion to approve Certified Survey Maps

Nothing to approve.

  1. Fire Dept Report

Fire Chief Caylor stated that they will be picking up the Fire Dept Fire tanker truck on Tuesday April 6, 2021. No fire calls for the month of March.

  1. Public Works Report

Banaszak reported there several culverts to be thawed, repaired the tractor for spring cutting, worked with MTI for the sensors for the Public Works building, we opened the brush and trash dump site, removed trees that fell during the wind storm. It is possible the road bans will be removed after this week if the weather remains warmer.

  1. Approve salary increase for Municipal Judge

A request to increase the salary for the Municipal Judge from $60 to $75. A motion was made by Sotka to increase the wages by $15 per month, seconded by Banaszak and carried.

  1. MTI update on Town Hall furnace and for Public Works shop gas detector

A proposal from MTI was received for replacement to remove and replace the furnace with a 95% efficient furnace with new duct work to make the furnace quieter for $6,766.00. A motion was made to accept Proposal #21-9233 from MTI for $6,766 was made by Mueller, seconded by Sotka and carried.

  1. Establish an Ordinance Book committee

Banaszak suggested that the Town of Lake should establish an Ordinance Book committee to review the Code of Ordinance Manual. Sotka suggested that the Town of Lake combine the Planning Commission Committee and the Code of Ordinance Committee. A motion to combine the Planning Commission/Code of Ordinance as one committee by Sotka, seconded by Banaszak and carried.

  1. Advertise for Planning Commission and Ordinance Committee members

It was agreed to advertise for the committee in the Peshtigo Times.

  1. 2021 Road Work Bids

The Town of Lake will be advertising for 2021 roadwork on Riverview Road with the specifications in 4 parts. It will be in the Peshtigo Times for April 7, 2021 with a bid deadline of 6:30 p.m. on May 4, 2021 before the Regular Town Board meeting. The roadwork will be approximately 1 ½ miles of roads to be reconstructed and blacktopped.

  1. Rural Insurance quote for additional insurance

The suggestion was to table any updates and have Jim Pickett come to the May, 2021 Regular Board Meeting.

  1. The date for April Annual Town Board Meeting is Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
  2. Public Comment

There was a question on how the Town was maintaining the closed dump sites. Banaszak said they would take a tour and review what needed to done to keep the brush from growing. Craig Caylor thanked the Town of Lake for the new light for fueling the fire department trucks in the dark.

Penny Chaikowski, County Supervisor was present for the Town Board meeting. She explained the result of the “980 sex offender” motion was defeated at the March 30, 2021 County Board Meeting for the Mudbrook road property.

  1. Correspondence

M&M Community sent us information on grants and a seminar. A notice was in the Peshtigo Times on garbage collection for the purpose of re-stating that only household garbage to be put out for pickup with a limit of 6 bags per week. No home remodeling materials can be put out for curbside pickup. WTA
