The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Sotka.

  1. Approval of agenda

A motion to approve the agenda was made by Hanson, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Approval of meeting minutes from January 4, 2022, Planning Commission Meeting and Regular Town Board Meeting,

A motion to approve the January 4, 2022 Regular Town Board Meeting was made by Hanson, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Approval Debt Service payment for March 15, 2022

The Town of Lake debt service payment is for March 15, 2022 with a Check #24358 for $68,358.26 for the principal and interest. A motion was made to approve the voucher and payment to the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands for check #24358 for $68,358.26 by Nelson, seconded by Hanson and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers

A motion to approve the Treasurer’s financial report with check #s 24305-24359 for $1,631,955.52, EFTs for $3,656.18, deposits at F&M Bank for $1,310,682.81, deposits at LGIP $ 900,021.81 was made by Nelson, seconded by Sotka and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Approval of Clerk/Treasurer to do registrations for 2022 Election Day registrations

A motion to approve the Clerk/Treasurer to do election day registrations was made by Nelson, seconded by Hanson and carried. 3-0-0

  2. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)

A motion to approve an Operator’s License for Mindy Loopy’s in Loomis was made by Sotka, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0

Nothing to report.

  1. Approval of CSM

None to approve.

  1. Rural Mutual Insurance additions for February 1, 2022

Tabled for March Town of Lake Regular Board Meeting.

  1. Fire Dept Report

Chief Caylor reported he applied for a grant through Wausau. Insurance.

  1. Public Works Report

Nothing to report.

  1. Road signs

The road signs are starting to need to be replaced due to do age and fading. We will be looking at the costs for replacement and plan on how the Town of Lake will begin to replace signage.

  1. Public Comment

Ken Marcusen stated that Mohawk Resort still needed to a numbering system for the trailer park portion, and an improvement for fire and rescue. Bob Burmek asked about the Ordinance Manual updates be brought to his attention just for review.
