  1. Call to order.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sotka at 7:00 p.m.

  1. Approval of agenda.

A motion to approve to approve the agenda was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Open 2023 Road work bids

A motion to open the 2023 Roadwork bids was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0

The bids were opened with 5 different contractors bidding separate projects. A bid specification form is attached.

  1. Approval of meeting minutes from April 5, 2023 Regular Town Board Meeting and April 5, 2023 Special Town Board Meeting.

A motion to approve the minutes for April 5, 2023 Regular Town Board Meeting and April 5, 2023 Special Town Board Meeting was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers

A motion to approve the treasurer’s report with Vouchers #25104-25147 for $21,475.39, EFT transfers at F&M Bank for $2,311.82, Deposits at F&M Bank for $14,219.92, and Deposits at LGIP for $45,509.62 was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Public Works Report

Jeremy Gross gave the April public works report and a request to put items on the Wisconsin Surplus website for sale for sale. Jeremy Gross stated that he would like to put the 2014 Ahrens lawn mower, a sander from the 2006 Int. truck and two front tires that we can’t use. Minimum bid for the lawn mover $600, sander $1,500 to $2,000 and tires $150 per tire.

A motion was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek to place the items for sale on the WI Surplus website and the buyer pays the auctioneer fees and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Bids for the Town Hall addition and remodel will be opened on May 10, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. and will also award the bids for the 2023 road projects that were on May 2,2023 at 4:30 p.m. There will be a Special Town Board meeting at 6:30 p.m. on May 17, 2023 to award the bid for the Town Hall remodel project. A Special Town Board for Board of Review to adjourn to a later date will be held at 7:00 p.m. on May 17, 2023.
  1. Posting sign for Town Hall and locations for posting signs to be approved

A motion was made by Bob Burmek to purchase new signage boxes for the outside of the Town Hall and to be 2 new signage boxes to be purchased and installed at two new locations.

The motion was made to reposition the Town of Lake posting signs for meeting notices will be near the fire dept pond on Pioneer Road , and closer to Hwy W but on Gravelly Brook road was seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0

Nothing to report.

  1. Public Comment

Jeremy Gross asked if he could get reference from the road bid contractors. Gross also stated there have been a number of signs stolen.

Sotka stated that there have been numerous complaints on gravel roads, but the existing problems have now been taken care of as of today.

A motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:59 p.m. was made. by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and

carried. 3-0-0
