  1. Call to order.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sotka at 7:05 p.m.

  1. Approval of agenda.

A motion to approve the agenda for July 6, 2023was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried.       3-0-0

  1. Approval of meeting minutes from Regular Town Board Meeting June 6, 2023.

A motion to approve the minutes from the Regular Town Board Meeting of June 6,2023 was made by Burmek, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers

Clerk Tarmann gave the Treasurer’s Financial report. A motion to approve the financial report with Vouchers #25212-25258 for $34,791.73, Voids #25205, 25206, EFT at F&M Bank for $2,909.39,Deposits at F&M Bank for $57,293.52, Deposits at LGIP for $249,600.00 and EFT at $299,600.00 was made by Sotka, seconded by nelson and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Planning Commission Report

Bob Burmek from the committee presented two CSMs for approval. A recommendation to approve the CSM presented by Jeff Lieuwen for Bernard McVane. A second recommendation to approve the CSM presented by Jeff Lieuwen for Joe & Gina Nelson.

  1. Approval of CSMs.

A motion to approve to the Mc Vane and Nelson CSMs was made by Sotka, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)

None to approve.

  1. Approve Recycling Contract with Town of Stephenson

A motion to approve the 2023-2024 Town of Stephenson Recycling Contract was made by Sotka, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0

  1. Fire Dept Report

None

  1. Public Works Report

Chairman Sotka gave the Public Works report for Jeremy Gross. Road Work update included chip sealing, gravelling and work to be started on Loomis Road to be started after Labor Day. A motion to table any sale of culverts by Sotka, seconded by Nelson and carried.

  1. Rivers Bend update and complaint

A complaint was received for parking on the cul de sac and persons backing onto private property while using the public access site. The suggestion is to install a no motorized vehicle traffic beyond this point signage or foot traffic only.

  1. Creekview Road update

Jeremy Gross spoke to Marinette County about Federal Aid for repairing the CreekView road by construction and culverts. The is partially Town of Porterfield and partially Town of Lake, and would have the possibility of Federal Funding to cover a percentage of the road reconstruction. The balance of the cost would be shared between Town of Lake and Town of Porterfield. As information is received the Town Board will be informed as what funding and the progress of the project.

  1. Update on 2023 road projects

Chairman Sotka covered the road work projects in item #12.

  1. Update on Mohawk mobile home park

Chairman Sotka stated he would like to review the road work at the Mohawk Mobile home park this next weekend.

  1. Update on Town Hall Addition and Remodeling project

There has not been any work started by Kzrewina Construction until after August 1, 2023. A motion was made to have Kempka remove tree stumps for grounds green space was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
