September 1, 2015 6:30 pm Business Meeting

And 7:00 pm Regular Board Meeting

Business Meeting: Discussed monthly expenditures.

Regular Board Meeting called to order by Chairman Dan Banaszak at 7:00 pm, present were Chairman Banaszak, Supervisor Tarmann, Supervisor Mueller and Clerk/Treasurer Chaikowski and 8 members of the public. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Mueller made a motion to approve the agenda after removing #11 which was a duplicate, 2nd by Tarmann, carried. Motion by Mueller to approve the minutes of August 4, 2015 Regular Board Meeting and August 18, 2015 Special Meeting, 2nd by Tarmann, carried. Clerk/Treasurer Chaikowski reported the checking account had a balance of $281,899.09. Checks issued were #20156 -20207 for $68,355.11. Electronic debit totaled $3,214.53. Tarmann made motion to approve the financial report, 2nd by Mueller, carried.

Ken Marcusen reported some damage to Noquebay Road from excavation work being done. Katherine Just would like to have the Human Resources director from Marinette County address one of our meetings.

Motion by Tarmann to approve Operator’s License for Ross Nowikowski, The Hawk Bar & Grill. 2nd by Mueller, carried.

Clerk was instructed to write a letter to Wiedemeier’s Sawmill giving them permission to put out 4 safety cones during their hours of operation   Caution & hidden entrance signs are up..  

Motion by Banaszak to go with Safety Service Company for an employee safety manual and 2 pocket handbooks for $750 and the 52 weeks of safety meetings for $249. 2nd by Mueller, carried.

Fire Dept. Bylaws will be covered at the next meeting.

Motion by Tarmann to hire Biehl Construction to pave the culvert area and 50ft on either side on Spur Lane for $3380, 2nd by Mueller, carried.

Clerk instructed to call telephone company about changing the mailboxes for messages for Fire Dept, public works & clerk’s office.     Meeting will be held with the Planning Commission about mobile homes on October 19 at 6:30 PM
