1. Call to order.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Sotka.

4. Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda with a correction to the meeting minutes removing Open Book August 10, 2023 and adding August 7, 2023 Special Town Board Meeting was made by Burmek, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
5. Approval of meeting minutes from Regular Town Board Meeting August 1, 2023, remove August 10, 2023 Open Book and add Special Town Board Meeting August 7, 2023 and Board of Review August 28, 2023 with a correction to August 1, 2023 Regular Meeting #9 with a second by Burmek.
A motion to approve the minutes from Regular Town Board Meeting August 1, 2023, remove August 10, 2023 Open Book and add Special Town Board Meeting August 7, 2023 and Board of Review August 28, 2023 with a correction to August 1, 2023 Regular Meeting #9 with a second by Burmek, was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
6. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
A motion to approve the Treasurers Financial report with Vouchers #25287-25340 for $ 74,770.88, EFT for $ 2,033.07 and Deposits for F&M Bank of $163,292.35 was made by Nelson, seconded Sotka and carried. 3-0-0
7. Approve Marinette County Tax Collection contract for 2023-2024
A motion was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
8. Planning Commission Report

9. Approval of CSMs.

10. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)
None
11. Fire Dept Report
None
12. Public Works Report
Chairman gave the public works report for Jeremy Gross for the work that was completed for the month of August, 2023 including mowing ditches, replacing culverts, grading gravel roads, install fire numbers.
Loomis Road construction project with start around September 15, 2023.
13. Snow plow drivers for 2023-24 winter season
Chairman Sotka will be contacting individuals that had expressed interest in part-time snow plowing for the Town of Lake. If they are no longer interested, we will post an advertisement for snow plow drivers for the 2023-2024 plowing season.
14. Creekview Road update info only
Nothing new to report.
15. Green space cement pad, overhead with posts & electric
Chairman Sotka requested information from Town Board members for improvements to the Greenspace by the Town Hall and requested board members to bring back suggestions and do some research for this project.
16. Update on survey on South Lane Letter to residents on South Lane
Chairman Sotka reported that a partial survey for South Lane was completed and that there is personal property in the right of way for the Town. He would like to draft a letter to the residents on South Lane requesting them to remove personal property from the Town’s right of way. It is in the interest of the Town of Lake for a turn- a-round for snow plowing.
17. Update on 2023 road projects
The culverts are all installed on Loomis Road in preparation for the road construction. All other projects except chip sealing on Pioneer Road have been completed.
18. Update on Town Hall Addition and Remodeling project
The construction project is waiting for the dirt work contractors who are behind schedule.
19. Set date for Town Board workshop for October
Either on October 9 or October 16, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. and we will finalize the date on October 3, 2023 Regular Town Board meeting.
20. Closed Session: Pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85 (1)(a) Personnel. The Board may reconvene to open session to take any action to approve any changes.

21. Reconvene into Open Session time: 8:10 p.m. and motion for action on closed session.
A motion was made by Sotka to allow public works to carry 5 personal days in a calendar year, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0

Thomas Winters dropped off a bid for assessing for the next year.
