1. Call to order.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. Pledge of Allegiance

4. Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda was made Burmek, second Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
5. Public Comment
None
6. Approval of meeting minutes from Special Town Board Meeting Dec. 5, 202 and Regular Town Board Meeting Dec.5 2023.
A motion to approve the minutes from the Special Town Board Meeting Dec. 5, 202 and Regular Town Board Meeting Dec.5 2023 was made by Burmek, second by Nelson carried. 3-0-0
7. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
A motion to approve the Treasurer’s financial report with Vouchers # 25488-25533 for $39,004.07, deposits at F&M Bank for $472,489.69, EFTs for $2874.84 was made by Nelson, second by Burmek carried. 3-0-0
8. Approval of Rural Mutual Insurance renewal
A motion to approve the February 1, 2024 Rural Insurance for $20,287.00 was made by Nelson, second by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
9. Planning Commission Report
Nothing to report.
10. Approval of CSMs.
None to approve.
11. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)
A motion to approve the operator license for Brooke McFadden was made by Sotka, second by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
12. Fire Dept Report
January 23, 2024 CPR full course in the evening and will update on the time when closer to the class
Burmek, second Nelson carried. 3-0-0
13. Fire Dept Budget and Attendance discussion
The Board would like to have a better report to the Board on expenses and financial reporting from the Fire Department and requested that someone give the report every month. Tarmann said she would attend a fire department to help with the report.
14. Public Works Report
Chairman Sotka gave the Public Works report for Jeremy Gross. The report included the work detail for the month of December, 2024. Sotka and Gross are going to look at a grader that is for sale at around $12,000
Burmek, second Nelson and carried. 3-0-0 see attached report.

15. Road work 2024
Sotka and Gross spoke with Eric Burmeister concerning Creekview Road concerning the spring flooding. A possible fix would be to build up the road and add culverts. Sotka stated he would like to try to be put on the Town of Porterfield agenda to discuss the costs for fixing the flooding of Creekview town line road.
Sotka also spoke with Eric Burmeister about blacktopping costs for Loomis Road.
16. Update on Town Hall Addition and Remodeling project
Mike Litersky and Sotka met with the contractor concerning the addition. We are waiting for a rough in inspection before the contractor can continue. We are waiting for the preliminary approval from the state.
17. Review and approve Employee Handbook
Sotka brought up the question about the number of days that to be added to the medical leave per year.
A motion to approve the revised Employee Handbook was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
