1. Call to order.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Sotka.

4. Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda was made by Burmek, second by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
5. Public Comment
None.
6. Approval of meeting minutes from Regular Town Board Meeting January 2, 2024.
A motion to approve the minutes from Regular Town Board Meeting January 2, 2024 was made by Nelson, second by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
7. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
A motion to approve the Treasurer’s financial report with Vouchers #25534-25593 for $2,031,637.55, deposits at F&M Bank for $2,207,387.61, EFTs at F&M Bank for $2,562.17, deposits at LGIP savings for $1,417,595.65 and EFTs at LGIP for $7,803.00 was made by Sotka, second by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
8. Ted Klaver, information for future building use
Ted Klaver of Loopy’s explained he was unable to attend tonight and add him to the March agenda.
9. Debt Service Payment, Board of Commissioners of Public Lands for March 15, 2024
A motion to approve the debt service payment for the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands for March 15, 2024 for the amount of $68,358.26 was made by Sotka, second by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
10. Planning Commission Report
None
11. Approval of CSMs.
None
12. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)
A motion to approve Operator Licenses for Michelle Guseck and Itzel Flores was made by Nelson, second by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
13. Rural Mutual insurance Fire Department
Jim Picket of Rural Mutual Insurance spoke with Sotka and Gross the Town Board meeting to explain an insurance option accidental death and disability for the Fire Dept. They will meet with Jim for application.
14. Fire Dept Report
Fire Chief Caylor attended the Town Board meeting. Colton Caylor gave the report for the fire department. The fire department is looking to replace the current jaws of life with a cordless jaws of life. The cost would be around $30,000 to $35,000 for replacement. There will be training March 9, 13, Feb 8, 11 and May 11, 2025.
15. Public Works Report
Jeremy Gross attended the Town Board meeting to explain the work completed for the Town of Lake for the month of January. See the attached report. There are two estimates for century fence for the generator and the replacement fencing at the old dump on Birchwood Road. A need to check damage to the new culvert installed on Loomis Road. Nelson made a motion to get more estimates for gate enclosure for the generator and the dump, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
16. Road signs
A motion was made to purchase new signs for Right of Way Road with flashers. Also public works will be ordering new signs for roads and Town of Lake signage.
17. Road work 2024
Chairman Sotka and Jeremy Gross met with John Suennen and Eric Burmeister about paving Loomis Road and will get back to us by the end of February for the road work to be completed for 2024.
18. Update on Town Hall Addition and Remodeling project
The building addition was inspected on Tuesday afternoon so that work can progress for completion of the exterior office.
19. Ordinance Book update section 3
An update on Section 3 of the Ordinance Code book was received from Att. Harvey for review and approval. Nelson will meet with the Clerk to determine what needs to be completed.
