1. Call to order.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Sotka.

4. Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda for the regular town board meeting March 5, 2024 by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
5. Public Comment
A question was asked about the status of the remodel project from Kevin Schutte..
6. Approval of meeting minutes from Regular Town Board Meeting February 6, 2024.
A motion to approve the Minutes from February 6, 2024 by Burmek, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
7. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
A motion to approve the Treasurer’s financial report including Vouchers#25990-25655 with voids of numbers 25634-25636 for $1,426,585.86 including voucher #25631 for debt service for $68,358.26, deposit at F&M Bank$1272,400.78 , EFTs at F&M bank for $2,101.56 and EFT to F&M Bank from LGIP#1 for $1,100,000.00 by Burmek, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
8. Ted Klaver, information for future building use
Ted Klaver was present at the regulars to explain future plans for Loopy’s in Loomis. The Board recommended to survey the lot line and to put something in writing for a proposal for Attorney Coggins to review, including the parking area.
9. Planning Commission Report
Nothing to report.
10. Approval of CSMs.
Nothing to approve
11. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)
Nothing to approve.
12. Rural Mutual insurance Fire Department
Jim Picket from Rural Insurance was present at the regular meeting to explain plans of insurance for the fire department. The insurance from the Provident Insurance company has varying rates of coverage with multiple coverage plans. There is a 90- day window to determine if the Town and Fire department would like to implement a coverage plan. A motion to table any motion to approve insurance until the April Regular Town Board Meeting was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
13. Fire Dept Report
Chief Caylor reported on the fire department February’s activity including calls. There will be an active shooter training at the Town Hall on March 13, 2024 and an appreciation dinner on March 16, 2024. The fire department is searching for a new fire truck. A new roster was approved by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
14. Overweight Permit
The Implementation of Husbandry ordinance allows for overweight equipment but requires owners to get a permit from the Town. Permits are by day or by increment and must follow guidelines and fix any damage to Town roads.
15. Public Works Report
Jeremy Gross gave a written the report for public work with work completed for the month of February, 2024. Road signs motion is included in item 16.

Sotka’s recommendation was made to purchase the spinning alert with the post reflectors, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
17. Road work 2024
Completion of Loomis Road will be determined after information is received from the county . The County is waiting on pricing for materials to be determined sometime after mid-March.
18. Discussion of Ferndale Bridge for maintenance
The bridge inspection report was received again for the Ferndale Bridger stating that an inspection will be made every year until it is repaired. Sotka recommended to get an estimate for the repair of the Ferndale Bridge and will check into several companies for the repair costs. The approach needs to be wedged and crack filled. The inspection requires the Town to clean up debris beneath bridge structure.
19. Update on Town Hall Addition and Remodeling project
Sotka gave a report on the progress of the hall addition and remodeling including a quote on flooring resurfacing. He is in the process of getting other quotes for the flooring to present to the Board. The insulation and drywall are completed. No work will need to be done on the inside of the hall to have a fire rated wall between the office and hall. The estimated time for completion is around the April election. There are still FEMA purchases to be brought to the Board for purchases such as cots for resting, shower installation, a dishwasher and washer and dryer.
A motion was made by Sotka to change the regular meeting date due to elections from April 2, 2024 to April 9, 2024, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
20. Annual meeting date Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. information only.
21. Correspondence
Tarmann handed a sheet containing the 2024 Municipal Court dates and information on the March 21, 2024 Marinette County Unit Meeting starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Town of Grover Town Hall.

A motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:40 p.m. was made by Burmek, seconded by Nelson and carried.
