7:00 p.m. Regular Town Board Meeting Agenda

1. Call to order.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Sotka.
2. Pledge of Allegiance

4. Approval of agenda.
A motion was to approve the agenda by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
5. Public Comment
No public comment
6. Thank you to fire department, election workers and public works and town residents.
Chairman Sotka spoke to the April 2, 2024 snowstorm and commended the Fire Department, Public Works, WI Public Service, general contractors, Election Officials and residents who aided in efforts to clear roads and help with the residents of the Town of Lake by any possible means to get through a very serious spring snow storm.
7. Approval of meeting minutes from Regular Town Board Meeting March 5, 2024.
A motion to approve the minutes of the March 5, 2024 Regular Town Board meeting was made by Burmek, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
8. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
A motion to approve the Treasurer’s financial report was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek including Vouchers #25658-25710 for $113,031.25 Deposits at F&M Bank for $126,821.15, EFTs at F&M Bank for $4,298.18, Deposits at LGIP#72,606.23 and transfers at LGIP for $147,548.00 and carried. 3-0-0
9. Paul Dura, road use
The owners of the property off of Hilldale Road, Paul Dura and his brothers were requesting access to their land that lies behind Town of Lake property. They would like the Town Board to sign a contract showing the use and maintenance of the road. They would lock the entrance during the evening hours to keep vehicles out of the dump sight. The Town Board stated they will take a day to review the trails and property lines before making a decision.
A motion to table the Dura family road request for use until a future date, seconded Burmek and carried. 3-0-0
10. Monica and Jeremy Schwittay Farms concerning road use
The Schwittay family didn’t attend the meeting.
11. Planning Commission Report
Bob Burmek reported nothing to approve.
12. Approval of CSMs.
There were CSMs to approve.
13. Request for Variance Amanda Popp
A building inspection report from Larry Wall.
A motion to approve the variance for Amanda Popp for the mobile home
14. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)
There were no business licenses to approve.
15. Rural Mutual insurance for Fire Department
A motion to approve the Rural Mutual Firefighters Accident and Health policy for plan 4 for $1,410 per year for 3 years was made by Nelson, seconded by Sotka and carried. 3-0-0
16. Fire Dept Report
Kevin Gilbert. Asst. Fire Chief, gave the monthly report for Fire Department for the month of March, 2024. There were 5 calls, there will be training with the Crivitz Rescue in the next 2 months out of the Town of Lake Fire department.
17. Approve Contract with Delmore Consulting for culvert report to State of WI
A motion to approve the contract with Delmore Consulting for state culvert inspection and reporting was made by Burmek, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
18. Public Works Report
Sotka gave the March , 2024 public works report for Jeremy Gross. Including maintenance, road work, snow plowing, worked in the new office. A thank you from Jeremy for the help during the April 2, 2024 snowstorm.

20. FEMA Shelter requirements and policy
A meeting will be called to develop policies and proceed with a motion made by Sotka, seconded by Nelson and carried 3-0-0
21. Discussion of Ferndale Bridge for maintenance
Maintenance on the pillars of the bridge which be expensive. The debris under the bridge will need to be cleared. The road surface of the bridge will need to be re-blacktopped. The things that can be addressed will be done.
22. Update on Town Hall Addition and Remodeling project
The office is complete and we have moved into the new office. April 22, 2024 the interior of the hall will be in repair including wall removal, plastering and painting. The floor will be professional cleaned and resurfaced including the tile where the walls will be removed.
23. Annual meeting date Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.
24. Correspondence
Information on Clean Sweep for Hazardous Waste Collection for May 10 & 11, 2024. Must be registered with Marinette County.

A motion to adjourn at 8:00 p.m. was made by Burmek, seconded by Nelson and carried. 3-0-0
