5:00 P.M. Special Town Board Meeting

Pledge of Allegiance

1. Call to order.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sotka at 5:00 p.m.

2. Roll call.
Burmek __p___ Nelson __p___ Sotka __p___ Tarmann ___p__

3. Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the agenda for August 9, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and motion carried. 3-0-0

4. Review 2024 road construction and road maintenance projects to be completed within the budget year,
including what roads and estimates:

A motion to add gravel to Y Lane Road and Plains Lane and to clean out the ditch on Hilldale Lane and to widen the entrance on County Road G to Ash Lane was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and motion carried 3-0-0
A motion to chipseal, patch & overlay for bids as the estimate for road maintenance was more than $25,000 was made by Nelson, second Burmek and motion carried 3-0-0.
A motion to blacktop Aspen by Marinette County Highway was made by Nelson, Burmek.

A motion by Sotka to carry over any budget amount over into the 2025 road construction, seconded by Burmek and motion

carried 3-0-0

5. Discussion of creating a contingency fund
A motion was made to investigate creating an equipment contingency fund. Tarmann stated she would contact the auditor and the WTA concerning a contingence fund for equipment by Sotka, seconded Nelson, and motion carried 3-0-0.

6. Discussion of re-instating Business meeting prior to regular town board meeting
The board discussed they wished to stay with the current format but include a summary of revenue/expenditures through the last month Board Meeting.

7. Correspondence
Stacey Wilson handed out an information sheet on Public Comment for Town Board information.

8. Adjourn
A motion was made to adjourn by Nelson at 6:22 p.m. by Nelson, seconded by Sotka and
motion carried. 3-0-0
