6:00 P.M. Special Town Board Meeting Agenda

1. Call to order.
The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. by Chairman Sotka.
2. Roll call.

3. Approval of agenda.
A motion to approve the March 11, 2025 Special Town Board Meeting was made by Burmek, seconded by Burmek and motion carried. 3-0-0 Tom Nelson made the motion to move Item #6 to Item #4, seconded by Burmek and motion carried. 3-0-0
4. Award Road Bid
After reviewing the spreadsheet listing the bids for 2025 roadwork on March 4, 2025, Jeremey Gross explained the bids to the Town Board and recommended Phase #1 be awarded to Peshtigo Asphalt and Phase #2 be awarded to Peshtigo Asphalt . A motion to award Phase #1 and Phase #2 to award Peshtigo Asphalt the road bid for $190,823 was made by Burmek, seconded by Nelson, and motion carried. 3-0-0 A motion to set aside 10% contingency for roadwork in the event of unforeseen changes was made by Nelson, seconded by Burmek and motion carried. 3-0-0
5. Nature’s Edge Inspection Agency Two Year Contract Renewal
The contract for Building Inspector, Jane Meissner, Nature’s Edge Inspection Agency was for a two-year contract renewal. A motion to approve the renewal for a two-year contract renewal to Jane Meissner was made by Sotka, seconded by Nelson and motion carried. 3-0-0
6. Corry Lambie, Marinette School District Referendum Presentation
Superintendent Corry Lanbie from the Marinette Publics presented and handed out fliers explaining the $48 million referendum for the Marinette Public School District that will on the April 1, 2025 Spring Election ballot for approval.
7. Cargo Containers memo from Jane Meissner
Jane Meissner wanted to make the Town Board of the questions that are arising for acquiring and installing shipping on Town of Lake properties. The suggestion was to address the language for shipping containers to be added into the Town Ordinances.
8. Adjourn
A motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:12 p.m. was made by Burmek, seconded by Nelson and motion carried. 3-0-0
