6:00 p.m. Regular Town Board Meeting Minutes

1. Call to order.
Chairman Sotka called the meeting to order at 6:00p.m.

4. Approval of agenda
Supervisor Burmek made a motion to approve the Monday, May 12, 2025 agenda. Seconded by Chairman Sotka. Carried 2-0-0
5. Approval of meeting minutes from Special Town Board Meeting April 3, 2025, Regular Town Board Meeting April 3, 2025, Special Town Board Meeting April 9, 2025, Special Town Board Meeting April 15, 2025, Special Town Board Meeting May 8, 2025
Supervisor Burmek made a motion to approve meeting minutes from Special Town Board Meeting April 3, 2025, Regular Town Board Meeting April 3, 2025, Special Town Board Meeting April 9, 2025, Special Town Board Meeting April 15, 2025, and Special Town Board Meeting May 8, 2025. Seconded by Chairman Sotka Carried 2-0-0
6. Review Annual Meeting Minutes from April 15, 2025
The board reviewed the Annual Meeting Minutes from April 15, 2025.
7. Approval of Treasurer’s financial report and vouchers
Clerk Wilson presented the financial report with vouchers #26338-26405 for $42,073.30, deposits at F&M Bank for $23,246.48, deposits at LGIP for $295,539.37, EFT at F&M Bank for $6,031.35, and EFT at LGIP for $250,000. Chairman Sotak made a motion to approve the financial report and vouchers as presented. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Motion carried 2-0-0
8. Public Comment
A resident inquired about having a walkway installed to the pavilion this summer to provide accessibility to all residents. A resident inquired about ditching.
9. Correspondence
Information on the 2025 Spring New & Continuing Officials Workshop was provided to the board.
10. Public Works Report
Jeremy Gross gave the Public Works Report. Repaired brake lines on sign truck, added material to shoulders in several different areas, dug up public works holding tank. More work details included in the board’s packet.
11. 2025 Road Report
Jeremy Gross gave the 2025 Road Report. Most gravel roads are in fair to good condition. He plans to start replacing culverts on Pioneer Road. He has spoken with other contractors regarding maintenance work, but it will be contingent on the budget after Pioneer Rd completion.
Chairman Sotka made a motion to spend up to $10,000 on shouldering this year. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Carried 2-0-0
12. Fire Department Report
Dan Welty gave the Fire Department Report. The department had one car accident call, and attended a training at Kaufman Farms. Some finishing touches are going into 720. Planning a fundraiser at Noquebay Park for July 19, 2025 from 11:00a.m.-5:00p.m. May 21, 2025 pump testing will be done pumpers to be certified.

14. Approval of CSMs.
None to approve
15. Review & Approval of Business Licensing (Liquor & Operators)
Chairman Sotka made a motion to approve a Liquor License for Dockers on Noquebay LLC for a prorated cost of $81.68 plus the cost of publication, contingent that tax is paid. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Motion carried 2-0-0. Supervisor Burmek made a motion to approve Operator Licenses for Alice Behnke, Teri Edlebeck, and Kelly Bloemer for Dockers on Noquebay LLC. Seconded by Chairman Sotka. Motion carried 2-0-0.
16. Review & Award bids for 1985 Fire Truck
The following bids were received for the 1985 fire truck; $5,150 from JNS, $7,600 from Ross Wagner, and $4,100 from Dan Welty.
Chairman Sotka made a motion to accept the bid from Ross Wagner for $7,600. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Carried 2-0-0
17. WTA Renewal
Supervisor Burmek made a motion to renew membership with the Wisconsin Towns Association for $1,210.59. Seconded by Chairman Sotka. Motion carried 2-0-0.
18. Intergovernmental Agreement for Recycling with Town of Stephenson
Chairman Sotka made a motion to renew the Intergovernmental Agreement for Recycling with Town of Stephenson. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. 2-0-0.
19. Adjourn
Chairman Sotka made a motion to adjourn at 6:46p.m. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. 2-0-0.
