Regular Town Board Meeting Minutes
1. Call to order by Chairman Sotka
Chairman Sotka called the meeting to order at 6:00p.m.

4. Approval of Agenda
Supervisor Burmek made a motion to approve the agenda. Seconded by Supervisor Hanson. Carried 3-0
5. Public Input – none
6. Approve and correct meeting minutes from Regular Town Board Meeting December 8, 2025, and Special Town Board Meeting December 16, 2025
Supervisor Hanson made a motion to approve meeting minutes from Regular Town Board Meeting December 8, 2025 & Special Town Board Meeting December 16, 2025. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Carried 3-0
7. Clerk-Treasurer’s Financial Report
Clerk Wilson gave the financial report. F&M Checking had a beginning balance of $38,754.30, deposits of $415,218.89, withdrawals of $65,139.20 for an ending balance of $388,833.99. F&M Fire Dept Checking had a beginning balance of $62,239.40, deposits of $1227.00, withdrawals of $96.37, for an ending balance of $63,370.03. General savings had a beginning balance of $382,077.08, deposits of $1,052.56, withdrawals of $75,000, for an ending balance of $308,129.64. Road construction had a beginning balance of $93,214.55, deposits of $302.81, for an ending balance of $93,517.36. Fire department savings had a beginning balance of $18,373.81, deposits of $59.69 for an ending balance of $18,433.50. Grant funds had a beginning balance of $42.76, deposits of $0.14 for an ending balance of $42.90. Supervisor Hanson made a motion to approve the financial report. Seconded by Chairman Sotka. Carried 3-0.
8. Correspondence – Mar-Oco Landfill tipping fees have increased for 2026, from $70/per ton to $90/per ton. Rural Mutual Insurance renewal agreement is due for a total of $23,543.00. There was illegal dumping on Ferndale Rd. Bright speed phone service continues to be unreliable, and the office cell phone has not been working. Quotes will be obtained on new phones. Country Mile Document Destruction was approved by the board last year and will be coming over the next two weeks with an estimated cost of $259.75.

a. Planning Commission Report – none
b. Ordinance Committee Report –Supervisor Hanson reported that Attorney Harvey is still working on our updated ordinances. Clerk Wilson will contact Attorney Harvey and request the first draft by May of 2026.
c. Public Works Report
Jeremy Gross gave the public works report. 16 days he plowed or cleaned up snow, installed fire numbers, maintained trucks. More works completed included in the board’s packet

11. New business
a. Operator Licenses – Michael Haupt & Carolyn Watts for Docker’s on Noquebay
Chairman Sotka made a motion to approve Michael Haupt and Carolyn Watts for operator licenses. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek Carried 3-0
b. Fire Department Appreciation Dinner
In 2025 the Fire Department Appreciation Dinner bill went up about four times the amount it had been in previous years, and was paid by the town. How this dinner should be funded will be added to the annual meeting. Chairman Sotka made a motion that the fire department can pay for their appreciation dinner out of their fundraising account this year. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Carried 3-0
c. QuickBooks Payroll and Circle R
Chairman Sotka made a motion to approve both QuickBooks updates and Circle R. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Carried 3-0
d. Approving Election Worker – Kim Hanson
Chairman Sotka made a motion to approve Kim Hanson as an election worker. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Carried 2-0-1 with Supervisor Hanson abstaining
12. Adjournment
Supervisor Burmek made a motion to adjourn at 7:06pm. Seconded by Supervisor Hanson. Carried 3-0
